Peptide BPC-157

I recently started taking Peptide BPC-157 orally. Pentadecapeptide BPC 157 is an amino acid sequence, a naturally occurring peptide found in human gastric fluid. It is considered synthetic because it is made for oral use “outside” of the body (where it is found in “nature”)...etc...etc...

I waited for six weeks before posting but I have to say, it has definitely helped my gut. If you do want to try it, please see a functional doc and get a script. There are many amazon type suppliers. Don’t do it. Get it compounded, it must be kept cold (I use Wells pharmacy in Ocala FL).  It’s also not a long term (lifetime use) use thing although there are few reported side effects. It’s about $200 a month for 30, 500 mcg caps.

There are many studies on it for IBD, crohns and colitis. Croatia has a lot of research studies on it and the EU uses peptides for many things in the medical world.  It’s not a magic bullet but it has significantly reduced my bloating and seems to be helping with zero negative side effects.  It also has the ability to manipulate flora and seal the gut lining and I do think that is the case. It initially made me really gassy but in a “good way”…like healthy farts kind of way.  My output smelled different, sweeter…

I started taking it first thing in the AM on an empty stomach with 16 oz water then waiting 30 or so minutes before eating/drinking. That really seemed to help reduce gas and improve gut, vs. taking with food (the pharmacists said ok to do but I’ve found it works better on an empty stomach).  Just tossing this out there hoping it helps others. Be well!
