Kidney stone

So Ive has my gallbladder removed, my appendix, my colon, and had a hernia earlier in the year. I guess it’s only fitting that I now have a kidney stone. Went to the ER last night thinking it was an obstruction but it’s a stone. They said I may be more susceptible since I need more fluids than the average person. I admit I’m horrible at drinking enough. Lately I’ve been thirsty all the time. Having a newborn doesn’t really make it conducive to taking care of myself in the area of food and drink! Right now I feel so crappy I don’t wanna to eat or drink anything. They sent me home with anti-nausea medicine, pain medicine and medicine for kidney infection.

I guess I wonder if anyone else has experienced a kidney stone and do you think it’s related to us not drinking enough? Are we more likely to get them than the average person? Once you get one, do you think you’d be more likely to get them in the future?
