This is becoming more than I can deal with. I'm just over 6 months post op from an adhesion removal surgery. I had 5 bowel obstructions all because of adhesions. This was my 5th full open abdominal surgery and I just turned 34. I've had colitis since I was 15. I had been feeling a ton better internally after this last surgery. Still generally weak and extremely fatigued. But that's the norm for me at this point. Anyways...I woke up this morning and could hardly move. I've been working a overnight shift running our freight team and it could just be to much for my body now. But I completely feel like I'm getting another obstruction. I can hardly walk, can't stand up strait, stabbing pains, the works. We all know how it goes. But here's the kicker! I can't even leave work to go to the emergency room. I'm the only key carrier and no one will come in. I have dedicated so much to my current job. Been here for almost 10 years and pushed myself beyond my limits. I'm ready to open a smoothie bar and enjoy life instead of spending all of my free time exhausted in bed!
