I’d suggest consulting another surgeon for another opinion, unless you have reason to believe that the weight loss will be pretty straightforward. While it’s true that many surgeries are easier and safer when body fat is low (or lower), it’s also true that surgery tends to be needed by people that exist, rather than imaginary future people who weigh less.
