Reply to "Instead of antibiotics for pouchitis has anyone had luck with anything else"

I’ve had pretty good success with the herbal remedy  Juglans Regia (English Walunt) gemmotherapy. Apparently it is antimicrobial and helps to restore and balance intestinal flora. It was prescribed by my alternative practitioner 8 months ago to treat 2 kinds of intestinal parasites that I had. It got rid of the parasites and at the same time I noticed it helped keep my pouchitis in check. I’ve had my pouch for 22 years and during the last year or so I was on antibiotics every few months. The juglans along with Visbiome and keeping my carbs to a minimum has kept me off them so far. I know every one is different and alternative remedies don’t work for everyone but it could be worth a try.
