I think VSL #3 kept me off antibiotics for about a year. Some people do get benefit from an extremely low carbohydrate diet. Have you always had Cipro and Flagyl together? If so, only one of them is likely to be causing the problem, but it’s awfully hard to tell which one without trying one alone. I’d guess Cipro is slightly more likely to cause that side effect than Flagyl, but it’s not a listed side effect for either drug.

I spoke with two different pharmacist and they both said it’s the flagyl that can cause heart palpitations. I asked my doctor and was told no it’s shouldn’t . But all I know was after two days tops on flagyl they start up . 
I am taking probiotics everyday and as of Monday morning I am eating only liquid and soft foods . Will try it for a week or so .
