Hi Heather, I’m sorry you had to go through this and I hope you’re not dealing with this anymore and got some relief. I also have the same issues after having my ileostomy takedown. It feels like I shattered a lightbulb up my butt while also a lighter is being held to my anus. It’s awful. I’m hoping it’s anal fissures and I’ve heard on the replies here that a sitz basin can heal them as quickly as a week! I’m currently using one now and pray it works!

So know that you’re not alone and thanks for sharing your post! It’s already helped me out mentally to know that someone else knows how I feel.
