I suffered from hemorrhoids soon after takedown. After a year of suffering, I finally got them under control. Ilex paste is great to alleviate itching and works better for me than any hemorrhoid specific ointment. There are special bath salts by Better Bath, Better Body that are meant to alleviate hemorrhoid discomfort. I just put some in my bath water. The third thing that helps is to use a barrier cream every time you empty your pouch. I use wipes to make sure I'm extra clean.
