Reply to "Has anybody gotten hospitalized for Dehydration since getting a J-pouch?"

I don’t get up during the night to poop or urinate; when I’m sleeping, whether it’s at a more appropriate time or during the evening. I can easily sleep through and without disturbance for a good 10 hours.

Even after a good nights sleep, the lethargic feeling isn’t the desire to go back to sleep; even if I did, I wouldn’t sleep; it’s more a feeling of not having the energy or desires to do things I want to do and having to push and force myself to do the things I have to do; which makes the feeling even worse, but still, I don’t have the desire to sleep.

Then on the occasions, when my sleep pattern Is messed up, I become so tired at specific times of an evening, that I can’t stay awake; despite drinking all kinds of fluids throughout the day, the St Marks emix solution, as well as eating Bananas and salty snacks.

I’ve had my J pouch for 5 ½ years and prior to that, for 9 ½ years, I had a stoma and colostomy bag; and I never suffered from this level of fatigue.
