I'm doing a little better but the pain is a bit excessive and that's an understatement. The colectomy and j pouch surgery didn't hurt anywhere nearly as bad as this. Broken ribs are everything I've heard them to be. All I add to oatmeal is brown sugar and bananas and I enjoy it quite a bit. I've been adding pancakes and eggs to the oatmeal as well. Smoked meats for some reason don't do well with my j pouch for some reason so I did give up bacon 2 years ago, which is too bad.
