Flushing not working for thick output

When my output is very thick, I am flushing many times and all that comes out is the flushing liquid and a few bits of the thick liquid. Nothing is stuck in the catheter. I am brand new (still have the indwelling catheter) and am afraid I’ll be spending an hour in the bathroom trying to flush in the future.

advice?

ps: I am lacking context but my surgeon needs me to try to thicken my output. When it’s too thin, it leaks and I output over 2000ccs
