Dr. Remzi at NYU is my surgeon and he is great and one of the most experienced out there. He may be worth the travel, however the surgery for a JPouch is complex and requires several surgeries so going far away from home is doable - but a challenge. I chose a JPouch and so far I am 4 months out and happy with it.
