States will vary in how they adopt the CDC recommendations for vaccine prioritization. The CDC’s language for folks at higher risk is “underlying medical conditions which increase the risk of serious, life-threatening complications from COVID-19.” I have some concern that these criteria (identification and verification) may be managed poorly in the rush to get a huge number of people vaccinated. Nevertheless I don’t see IBD or related diseases on the list of underlying medical conditions. https://www.cdc.gov/coronaviru...-at-higher-risk.html

Folks who are on steroids or other immunosuppressive medications would qualify for this higher priority, though.
