constipation with Colitis??

I've been hearing about alot of people being diagnosed with Colitis that are constipated all the time. One lady told he she hadn't pooped in 6 days???? Since I was diagnosed with Colitis 17 years ago I have NEVER been constipated, ever!! No matter the meds or diet. Regardless I poop everyday! At least 10 times. At my most I pretty much lived in the bathroom. Seriously I would just hang out in there. Cause what's the point in leaving when your going potty close to 100 times a day!? I just don't get it. How is pooping all the time and never pooping the same disease? ??
