10 years and a bunch of surgeries later. I use a paste from Cleveland Clinic. Just had pouch exam and major inflammation. Dr wants me on biomedicine which is what I was trying to avoid. Surgeon told me to use Desitin. Push it up into rectum. Can’t get very far unless you can collapse your body for position. The J-Pouch was a mistake, they sell a good idea! Not sure if was for the money or if they are really trying to help people. Now I have an open ab muscle wall from surgery. Lot of good advice on this sight.
