Reply to "Anal skin irritation"

I take frequent showers.  People keep telling me to get a bidet, but I have a small bathroom I share with my boyfriend and as it is, I spend enormous amount of time cleaning the toilet are from him missing the toilet and me having a lot of splatter from gas. There is no room to have a bidet/area to clean more/even have a small  this or that that people have recommended.  I was also fortunate enough to go to (after mine moved away) a colo-rectal surgeon who prescribes me a compound I get at a pharmacy.. the main  ingredient is Bentontite which believe it or not, is a clay!! It's in a cream form and it heals as well as coats. I know that would not be available to you. But again, I just take frequent showers and keep that area clean!!!  To me, that is the thing that really works. Also, before Corona,  I traveled a lot so having to be dependent on a bidet would not work. I shower at least twice a day, sometimes more. Just plain old soap and hot water and let the water from the shower soothe and clean. When things get out of whack, I use baby soap or Ivory soap so the soap doesn't sting. Be sure to dry that area carefully, standing in front of a fan or using a blow dryer or just making sure not to put your underware on too quickly and trap moisture.. that will also cause big problems. Good luck
