On my last two scopes my doctor has noted an ulcer at the connection site.  It's never discussed so I'm assuming he's not concerned about it.  I however can't think it's healthy to have a chronic ulcer there.  Should I be concerned?  Is there anything I should be doing about this?  Dietary considerations?  Other?  I've had my pouch for about 13 years with very few issues.  I'm hoping to keep it that way!

Thanks!

Is the ulcer at the outlet connection site?  I’ve had them there and have not been treated for it. I also have them where the jpouch has been stapled within the pouch itself and both my GI and two colorectal surgeons say this is very common and I’ve never been treated for these either.

With that being said,  I am having  surgery in a week for scar tissue at my outlet connection  I’ve never figured out if this is from repeat inflammation or possibly a small leak from my original surgery. i would pursue treating the ulcer
