Congratulations! It is strange when you are looking forward to a surgery, but I certainly understand. Get prepared by walking a lot and staying in shape – – at least that's what I was advised to do and I think it helped. I feel like I lost all my muscle tone in the last two weeks.

Had such a terrible day upon leaving Cleveland that I haven't been able to post. Hopefully tomorrow I will be more functioning and can communicate. I feel like I've been set back five days, and it's very discouraging. Janet

Ugg, first got hit with a upper respiratory a day after leaving hospital. Then was one of the 5 lucky onesie Xmas who got hit with the norovirus. That was real bad. I'm still so so with it.

I think it's the Entyvio causing slow gut healing.

Thanks for asking. I'm just so wiped out from it all!

Hi Since1991,

This is my second reversal. I was disconnected in the summer because of pouchitis. I was very sick. I have had pouchitis for 15 years in various degrees.

I developed diversion pouchitis from the unused pouch. The cure is to reconnect or remove the pouch but because of my history it was recommended that I go on Entyvio to tame whatever underlining imflamatory condition that is causing me to keep getting pouchitis if I wanted to save it.  I have been on every drug. This is a new one, that only targets the gut receptors from the nose down to the pouch.

So rather than pouch removal and since I hated the ostomy I decided to give this a try and was able to have my reversal Dec 10. Unfortunaetly my gut is compromised because the receptors that flight virus are being held in check by this drug.

I caught a upper respiratory at the hospital first, then caught this stomach bug. Taking longer for me to heal from all this.

Hope this makes sense. I hate IBD!
