Hi,

I am wondering, I have been living with ths issue due to stenosis around the stoma...and in past stenosis Inside valve but it looks like its better now.

My Doctor does not feel that dilatatin is such a great solution...as it breaks the skin and may be painful etc... So he is suggesting to cut the skin around by few mm.

I use a 24FR tube.

I worry about it. Did anyone had a surgery to cut the skin around the stoma Under anesthesia?  Any pro and con? What to Watch for?

Also it seems i have since a while a bumb over the stoma like the intestine bulging there not very bg but I wondered if the fact the skin went over the stoma a bit if it help with the pressure.

I also guess it won't impact the continence?  Anyone can give me their experience on this I would appreciate.

Thank you.
