Re: omeprazole and zantac

Just recently my doctor felt I had been on omeprazole for so many years and thought the gas pains and bloating I have been getting might have caused this so he switched me to zantac maybe 21/2 weeks ago. I find I am not feeling any better and not only getting regular gas pains,but gas pains that even extend to my back, bloating still continues, and it seems I am going to the bathroom even more often , and getting more butt burn. Just wonder if anyone has tried to switch to zantac and if they experienced problems and went back to omeprazole? Thanks guys

I don't find that either of these drugs does anything for gas.
