2 years ago I had an incidental finding from a pouch CT scan with a growth on my kidney that was growing after watching it. 2 years ago I ended up getting a cryoablation procedure to freeze it. During all this I had microscopic blood in my urine. My urologist did a cystoscopy and everything looked great. They did the cytology of urine, and no cancer cells and looked good. The MRI's following all looked good with everything in the kidneys on down. Urologist, who is one of top docs at Cleveland Clinic said some people just have this and it's unexplained. Said to followup with another urinalysis in a year. I have the home  strip urine tests so tested last night and the level is still quite high. It's never been visible to the eye though. So I have had this now for over 3 years with no explanation. Also my blood work in regards to my kidneys has been normal as well. Creatinine and BUN are normal and doc said that looked good as well. I did have iron infusions 6 months ago cuz my iron and ferratin was low. I'm just confused if this blood in urine has caused the anemia and should I be chasing something that they cannot find and accept that I'm one of those that just has this with no concerns?  Also when I had the ablation on the growth the biopsy for cancer cells was indeterminate. But 2 scans since that has shown it has not grown back and nothing else of concern.

I also had blood in urine and a cystoscopy last year.  Everything was fine but I have a follow up again in the next month.  My urologist also said this most likely is nothing to worry about and that his explanation sounds similar to what your urologist said.  I'll see how things go at the next appointment.

Let me know what they say...
