I volunteer at our local hospital. I decided to empty my ostomy pouch before I left for the day so I stopped in the ladies room which has two stalls and a sink. A rather small restroom, and no one else was in there. I had just opened my bag and begun to empty when the lights suddenly went out. I had also left my cell in the volunteer room so I had no access to its flashlight. I'm a horror movie fan and I must admit part of me wondered if someone had come in and shut the light....and then I pushed that idea out of my head and managed to remain calm. I figured I could finish cleaning up as best I could and then do a full cleaning once I was in light - and alone. The lights came back on after about forty five seconds but that had certainly gotten my adrenaline going a bit!
