Awhile back I asked for success stories to help me through the IVF process. I find that positive thoughts goes a long way and the stories shared with me really helped me keep my head up. So, I wanted to share my success story in hopes it will help someone suffering with post-op infertility.

My husband and I were on a 4 1/2 year journey with no success of getting pregnant. We had been looking into IVF, but due to a blocked fallopian tube my IVF doc advised to not go through with IVF until I had my tubes taken care of. Apparently the fluid inside a blocked tube is toxic to embryos and decreases IVF success drastically. I didn't want another surgery, so my IVF doc suggested the ESSURE procedure to block my tubes. A few months after this, I went through my first IVF. I hyperstimulated, so they were unable to do a fresh cycle in fear of me getting hyperstimulation syndrome. I waited one month before I could do a frozen cycle and it took! I am now sitting here 22 weeks pregnant feeling my little boy do jumping jacks in my belly!

Good luck and baby dust to all who are suffering with infertility. It is a long hard road, but don't give up!

UPDATE: When I first made this post I was only 22 weeks pregnant.  Now my little man is 9 1/2 months old!  My pregnancy went really well until the end.  It was almost a month until my due date when I started itching all over!  I did some research and saw that this could be due to cholestasis of pregnancy, which could end up in a stillbirth.  I had just had a nightmare a week prior that I had a stillbirth and got a little paranoid.  After begging my boss to let me run to the doctor real quick for blood work to rule this out, they saw that my liver enzymes had more than trippled and I wad diagnosed with cholestasis of pregnancy.  My little boy was born via c-section that day and was as healthy as could be!
