Hi. I've had the pouch for 15 years. Pouchitis once every 9 months or so. I've always taken Levaquin and Flagyl. I get the side effects of Flagyl same as others (metallic taste, stomach issues, etc). I'd like to replace the Flagyl if I can. I've seen that Xifaxan and Augmentin are good. Do they have any side effects? What dosage and for how long do you take? I would do just Levaquin if I could, but want a second antibiotic to be safe. Flagyl has just caused too many issues. It works though. Thanks.
