Hi everyone. Well I was suppose to have my reversal is Nov. of last year, but found a fistula at my gastrograffin enema and x-ray. My surgeon first took the wait and see if it heals approach. Well, in Feb. after another fun x-ray, we found out it still hadn't healed. Since my surgeon put a stitch in the fistula in hopes that it will heal. I am set for another gastrograffin x-ray April 30th. If all goes well take down will be may 15th. The surgeon also said if it didn't heal, he can do a flap, if still not healed pouch advancement. Yikes. Has anyone else here had this go on before they even had their take down. What are the odds of success here? I getting a bit frustrated. Just want to have my take down and get on with life. Thanks for any advise in advance.

I think I'm doing okay. The pain from gas is killer at times and some accidents at night kind of suck, but the BMs are like 5 to 8 times during the day, and up maybe 1 or 2 times at night though I have slept through the night a couple of times. Wish I could remember what I did to make that happen . This is week three, and I've been walking and trying to stay busy, things seem to go better that way. I even took my mother to lunch today. That went okay.  I know this is all very individual, but would love to know when the gas gets better. I've not had much trouble with the dreaded butt burn thank God, so that's good. My surgeon released me last week. He wants me to follow up with my GI. Have an appt. with him in Aug. I can not believe how busy those guys are. Well that's about all I can think of for now. Thanks for asking.
