Hello. I have J pouch for 4 months. For 4 days I have watery diarrhea, nothing hurts, I have no cramps. Only that diarrhea and more times I have to go to the toilet. This was not the same as it happened a month ago, it lasted for 3 days. Now I just eat rice and yogurt. What are your experiences? What could this be? Thank you.

Five days is still short enough that it might be an "ordinary" passing thing. If it persists much longer then a stool test for C. Diff would probably be appropriate, followed (perhaps) by a course of Cipro or Flagyl. Some doctors would want to do a pouchoscopy, too.

Pouchitis commonly has no effect on temperature or appetite. Stay hydrated!

Although I do not know if it is diarrhea from pouchitis, the doctor of general practice has given me Cyprus.

I drank the first tablet.

I did not want to go to examinations because it would only exhaust me and other symptoms I do not have.

The doctor says maybe it's a viroze, maybe some food poisoning al usually took cipro.

Btw. At me now is the summer and the air temperature is up to 40 ° and many people have various viroze.

I drank 3 Cipro antibiotics and stopped the therapy because after the second it was already good (normal). I immediately started eating all normal and drinking two beers. Now I have diarrhea again (weaker this time) no matter what the cause. Probably I should drink 2 x 1 tablets a day for 5 days. It is my fault that it takes about 5 days, but I'm a bit stubborn
