Before this thing turns into a debate, I removed your identical post in the Help forum. This is the appropriate place to let off steam.

It would seem that you had a very different experience at the Cleveland Clinic than most folks here. Granted, anytime you get into a big system like that, you can feel like you are on an assembly line. Plus, most are not happy about having to pay out of pocket for out of town and network service. But, I have not heard of providers not getting back with results or acting uncaring. Have you emailed them for for follow up? Are they refusing to do an ileostomy or discuss options? Often chronic small bowel obstructions are only diagnosed by exploratory surgery.

But, bottom line, how can WE help you? I know your story and it is a sad, frustrating one. We'd like to be supportive.

First off I am so sorry.

I know and understand the pain, anger, frustration that you must be feeling.

If you have any scans, scopes, MRIs, opacifications etc would you be willing to send them to Dr Zane Cohen's office in Toronto?

I could give his office a heads up to expect them and see what he thinks about your chances of repair as opposed to the removal of your pouch.

Not all great surgeons are great all of the time. Sometimes they are human and sometimes inhumane...I won't get into the number of dissapointments that I have been through with surgeons but even some of the best have not been up to snuff on occasion.

Let me know if something I can do can help you through this.

Sharon
